I never thought of it like that, as an "extra" day. I always fantisize about what I would do if I had some extra time. As it turns out I will be doing what I do on any other Wednesday. Go to sotry time at the library with P-nut and working on some craft projects.
2. What has recently required a leap of faith on your part?
Going with the hard questions again I see. Hmmmm a leap of faith? I think that the thing that is most current in my life involving a leap of faith is all of the housing stuff involved in our move to Missouri. But I feel like no matter what it will work out. I enjoy the moving process.

3. We're one week into the season of Lent...are you marking these 40 days
in some way? Giving something up or adding something extra to normal life? How's
it going so far?
I am part of the Youth Group at the church that I attend. We have put all of our Lenten sacrifices up on a poster on the wall along with who we are having help hold us accountable for the season. I have choosen to remove not only all profanity from my life, but also all of the substitutes for those words, so no more darn, zut, fudge, flark... whatever. I feel like even if you use a substitute your intention is still there and it is the habit and the intention that I would like to remove. Some of the youth have really gone above and beyond and are giving up things that amaze me, they are such a great group.

4. When was the last time you sat beside a fire?
When we went Camping in Zion National Park. It was freezing, well at least it was colder than this desert dweller is used to, so we all crowded around the fires to help keep warm. I don't do fires often because I am allergic to the smoke. It makes my asthma go crazy.

5. Surf and Turf is on the menu. Do you order as is or do you ask for just
the surf (lobster), just the turf (steak), or a menu so you can select another
option?
I like lobster, as long as it isn't a whole one. I have no problems with knowing that my food was once an animal, I just don't want to see it in its original form. So If it was lobster tail, I would eat it as is, if not just the turf.

6. If you could have any television program back, not in reruns but in new
episodes, what program would you choose?
M.A.S.H. I think that this show could totally be modernized and put back on TV. I think that it should stay a comedy though, instead of turning into a medical drama which is what would probably happen. I think that the hardest part would be to get actors as fun as the first show.
7. They say an elephant never forgets. These days would you say your memory
is more like an elephant or a gnat?
I'm still more like and elephant *knock on wood* and I hope to stay that way. I still have my blonde moments, especially if it is something you tell me before 9am. I am just not human before then.
8. Insert your own random thought here.
So many random thoughts, so little time. I don't want to make people's eyes glaze over with too much at one time. Let's see what shall I talk about this week. In the same theme as last month I have a new workout challenge up for March. This one is for arms. I hope that you decide to join me!

If only that extra day felt like an extra day! Wouldn't that be fun!
ReplyDeleteI love your March muscular arms idea! So cool. I have my exercise routine that I'm trying to be consistent on, but my arms are crying for a month like yours. Hope you do well!
I need the Muscular arm push...I stink at push ups though. Probably because I don't have muscular arms : ) I almost said MASH too. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteROFL about being blond and human [I was blond long ago before the silver came upon me, so this is not intended to be sarcastic towards you in any way]...but, you mean blonds are really human? Okay, I said it...got it off my chest, now I can move on. M*A*S*H.......oh yes, it was one I really, really liked too. Especially after Trapper John left and B J came to the unit. You don't mind the moving process? The actually lugging and lifting...or just the idea of relocating? I don't mind to go and live in different areas, but the moving of furniture and books/boxes ---nah. One more thing...That fire looks super, toasty.
ReplyDeleteLOL, Sometimes blonde's are humna, but definitly not before 9 am.
ReplyDeleteI really don't mind the moving process, I find packing to be cathartic, I love the sorting and organizing. I actually volunteer to help others do it all the time. The lugging of boxes isn't a huge love, but I just look at it as free exercise.
What an arm workout! All that is missing is the spinach, sounds like lessons from Pop Eye. I hate moving boxes. The packing and unpacking is o.k. but lugging boxes is my almost least favorite thing in the world. Have a good day.
ReplyDeleteI've never thought of Feb 29 as an 'extra' day either. If I was to rid my life of curse words, I'd have to stop doing the 30 Day Shred. LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by today. Enjoyed your post too and especially #3. I just hate some of the substitute words, good for you! WOW! what a workout calendar. I'm impressed!
ReplyDeleteIf Leap Day really was an extra day, how awesome would Leap Year really be??? I'll settle for a Leap Month, even a Leap Week!
ReplyDeleteAn entire year.... I don't know what I would do with that. Now a Leap Week. That I could be all over.
DeleteI like what you said about your youth group and their Lenten sacrifices! Good for you all!
ReplyDeleteJust printed the chart out. Count me in.
ReplyDeleteThanks! So glad you'll be joining us. The more the merrier.
DeleteAnd speaking of M*A*S*H! That is our current favorite viewing experience every evening. I bought my husband the whole set for Christmas. We've always enjoyed it, and it's even better now that we can watch it from start to finish. I agree, though, it would probably get changed and not to my liking.
